Worth the Wait!

"Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us: 'There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven.' But there are moments in life where it is easy to forget the truth of this Scripture. We want our goals accomplished on our time; we want our needs met when we first feel them. Yet sometimes God's best for us doesn't mean right now, or even soon. Sometimes He asks us to wait on Him. When we pray and ask God to do His will in our lives, we must be prepared to operate on His timetable. The Creator of all life knows what is best for us, and His timing, just like all of His ways, is perfect. The psalmist writes: 'The Lord favors those who fear Him, those who wait for His lovingkindness (Psalm 147:11). God promises to be with His people and hear their prayers. If it seems like you are stuck in the waiting room of God's blessings, take heart. He has not forsaken you; He is simply doing what's best for you. I love this, as we are in a waiting period in our lives right now, and I find it is so difficult at times to just REST in that in-between time, yet I also know that ALL His ways are perfect. If you find yourself in a waiting season of life, may this remind you how VERY much the Lord loves you, and that anything He prepares is always worth the wait.

It's the Small Things that Matter

My dear husband and I have been watching the series Lark Rise to Candleford, put out by the BBC. It is just absolutely precious!!...so many nuggets of truth in it, as to what really matters. Every evening that we sit down to watch it, we feel like we are visiting with dear old friends. :) We are now on Season 3, and there are only 4 seasons, so I don't know what we'll do when we get through 4...maybe start all over again. :) It is very much like a combination of Little House on the Prairie and Anne of Green Gables...just a sweet, lovely series overall.
