Plans formed of old...to God be the glory!

This is the Listener's Audio Bible verse for the day...I love it...how it so applies to our situation! :)

“ O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.” ~Isaiah 25:1
The thought of "plans formed of old, faithful and sure", gives me incredible comfort. To think that our God...our Daddy in Heaven, has formed ALL these events ahead of time, knowing they were what He needed to round out our lives, because He loves us SO much and KNOWS **exactly** what He's doing...how awesome is that?!? If you are going through a difficult life situation right now as we are, may you rest, knowing that your heavenly Father is sovereign over ALL things...caring SO much as to work all things together for good. No one, nor any event, can ever, ever, ever :) thwart His perfect plan for your life...to God be the glory great things He has done!!
 Chorus:
"Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory; great things He hath done."

(from the hymn: To God Be the Glory, Great Things He Has Done; lyrics by Fanny Crosby)

His Perfect Peace In All His Good Pleasure

The quotes shown below were in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine email-newsletter today...how comforting these words are, in all situations, even beyond homeschooling (we are 6 year empty nesters). Do you find yourself going through a difficult situation...one that you cannot see any of the answer(s), and it's a complete faith-walk to know God has all answers down the road, even though you are not privy to any of them right now? We are, and I pray this gives you as much comfort as it does us! (All emphasis below are just as they were written.)

"'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength' (Isaiah 26:3,4).

Our MINDS need to be stayed: focused, kept, and continued on HIM. Take your mind off your circumstances and put it on HIM. Magnify HIM and not your difficulty.
  1. Our minds are able to stay on HIM because we TRUST in HIM. Do not trust in what you see or feel. Trust in your God forever--He is the only unchanging thing in your life!
  2. In HIM is everlasting strength! Tired, weary, discouraged? You need strength and you don't have it in yourself. In the Lord alone is everlasting strength.
Let me encourage you with...reasons to not give up:

...Reasons Not To Give Up

     God's grace is sufficient.
  1. God gives us everything we need for life and godliness.
  2. God's mercy endures forever.
  3. It is God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure."
