God's sovereignty in the waiting

Do you ever wish that God would answer your prayers on your timetable? If we but only knew the treasures He was daily giving us, by making us wait! I read this quote the other day & loved how it expressed the gloriousness of God in the waiting:

"The most glorious promises of God are generally fulfilled in such a wonderous manner that He steps forth to save us at a time when there is the least appearance of it." ~C.H. von Bogatzy (Lutheran hymnwriter in Germany, 1690-1774)
